Copper costs dropped on Thursday on difficult demand outlook and soured threat sentiment amid expectations for a protracted coverage tightening by the U.S. Federal Reserve.

Three-month copper on the London Metallic Change was down 0.6% at $7,578.50 a tonne, as of 0706 GMT, whereas the most-traded December copper contract on the Shanghai Futures Change slipped 0.4% to 63,350 yuan ($8,669.65) a tonne.
